Turn right towards Tongres on N69 (It's called the Chaussee Romaine- it's a road that was initially built by the Romans!)
Continue to go straight on N 69.
You'll get to two round-abouts that are close together, where you pass under the E40 Highway.
Continue to go straight, and follow the directions towards Tongres/ Tongeren

Tips on traveling to Belgium

Going to BELGIUM:

Sorry to have to say this, but YOU WILL NEED A PASSPORT TO ENTER EUROPE. Make sure your passport is up to date to the regulations, and that it doesn’t expire while you are traveling.

We recommend going to book your tickets as soon as possible so that you get the cheapest price possible. In the US, there are more than we can count travel websites that offer an extensive amount of deals etc…

However, we most often use the following websites, because have found over the years that they provide us with the best options.

www.sidestep.com is an excellent website to get an idea of the prices that are out there, and they research a lot of websites to find prices. The other good thing is that they often send you directly to the airlines website, rather than have you book through them.

As a general rule, it is always better to book a ticket with the airline directly rather than an intermediary, because it will be easier if you have to make changes to your ticket.

That being said, websites like Expedia, Orbitz etc, often have good deals, and they are safe, secure and reliable to use.

www.expedia.com

www.travelocity.com

We would recommend to, if you can, that you stay away from onetravel.com, airfare.com…. but that depends on your experience with them. So far, we've had no problems with them, but have read some horrible reviews and are always reluctant to book with them.

We would recommend, that if you must take a ticket that has a stop-over, take the stop-over in Europe. It is very stressful to return to the US and deal with immigration at your stop-over when you are worried about missing your connecting flights.

Tips on traveling cheaper:

If you are flexible, try to leave and return on week-days. There are sometimes some very significant price differences.

If you can’t find any cheap tickets that flies into Brussels, you can always look for flights that land at Amsterdam Schipol airport or Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, and then take the fast train, Thalys, to Brussels. It’s very convenient, because the Thalys leaves from the Amsterdam airport, or the Paris airport and takes you directly to the Brussels train station.
